Designer Q&A with Carol Mayer-Reed

Tue 27 Sep 16

Carol Mayer-Reed, FASLA, Principal, Mayer/Reed, Inc.

A world-class design collective is immersed in designing the Willamette Falls riverwalk.

The team of Snøhetta, Mayer/Reed and DIALOG was chosen last year in a competitive selection process that drew proposals from around the world.

They have been working on riverwalk design ideas since spring, and design alternatives will be introduced this fall at a community event and on our website.

Metro News asked design collective principal Carol Mayer-Reed, of local design powerhouse Mayer/Reed to share her thoughts about waterfalls, past projects, design for public spaces – and what excites her most about the Willamette Falls Legacy Project.
